Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst, to join our team in Plainfield, IL.
Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for identifying, analysing, and evaluating manufacturing cost and financial data to ensure the accuracy, reasonableness, and integrity of financial reporting in support of management decision-making and reporting requirements. This role also supports the budgeting and forecasting processes, contributes to the development and implementation of internal control policies and procedures, and ensures accurate production and inventory reporting.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Analyze monthly financial results and provide forecasting support; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, analyses, and projections based on operational and financial data.
- Support management decision-making by translating financial and cost data into actionable insights, recommendations, and operational improvements.
- Perform comprehensive cost analysis across materials, production, cost of sales, product development, overhead, and other operational expenses, including weekly and monthly reporting of gross margin, operational costs, and variance analysis against budget and forecasts.
- Analyze the financial impact of changes in production methods, products, services, and raw materials on overall manufacturing costs.
- Support core accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A/R), Accounts Payable (A/P), General Ledger (G/L), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition activities.
- Partner with plant and business management to evaluate and recommend inventory obsolescence reserves and support inventory accuracy through physical counts and reconciliation of discrepancies.
- Provide financial support for operational decision-making by identifying cost-saving opportunities, efficiency improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives across all supported plants.
- Develop, monitor, and enhance key financial metrics, cost drivers, and tracking systems to support performance management and reporting.
- Advise management on the effective use of accounting and financial reports for planning, evaluation, and operational decision-making.
- Collaborate with Management and Human Resources to ensure accurate headcount reporting and forecasting.
- Maintain and optimize SAP system processes to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate cross-functionally to ensure efficient movement, control, and management of materials.
- Review, maintain, and update standard operating procedures to ensure compliance and operational consistency.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting and auditing experience within the manufacturing industry, including at least 3 years of standard cost accounting experience in an ERP environment; experience with SAP or other major ERP systems is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA designation preferred.
- Strong accounting background with solid knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting principles, general ledger functions, accounting procedures, and experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong capabilities in data analysis and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret policies, adapt procedures to local requirements, and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and global manufacturing environment with a high degree of flexibility.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in a multinational or global business environment is preferred.
- High attention to detail with the ability to review, validate, and ensure accuracy of financial and operational data.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proactive, hands-on management approach.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve organizational objectives.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel as required.
- Ability to demonstrate professional competence and consistently maintain high standards aligned with role expectations.
