Logoplaste UK, is currently seeking to recruit a Production Manager.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager you will have the opportunity to become an integral part of the Site Leadership Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive meaningful improvements across our Production department, strengthening our operations, enhancing customer relationships, and contributing to our ongoing success and growth.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

People Management & Development

  • Oversee the shift personnel plan, ensuring alignment with Team Leaders.
  • Develop and implement a succession plan, ensuring leadership engagement in team training and development.
  • Manage all production resources, ensuring alignment, competency, and continuous development.
  • Control the production budget, minimising overtime and temporary labour costs.

 

Production Efficiency & Waste Management

  • Monitor and manage production waste within budget, ensuring timely rework of products.
  • Lead the execution of the machine production plan, using data analysis to optimise asset performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure planned production outputs are met, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
  • Maintain robust, repeatable processes, implementing improvements as needed.

 

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a Safety-First culture, driving Behavioural Safety Improvements.
  • Ensure all production areas comply with BRC A+ GMP standards.
  • Guarantee customer quality standards are met at all times.
  • Support the Senior Leadership team with end-to-end management of quality complaints effectively.

 

Inventory & Logistics

  • Maintain tight stock control, ensuring held stock is managed efficiently.
  • Oversee external warehouse operations when required.
  • Coordinate with customers and hauliers for smooth logistics operations.

 

Lean & Continuous Improvement

  • Become a Lean Implementation champion for the Dumfries site, working alongside the Site Leadership Team to achieve this.
  • Drive Short Interval Control (SIC) meetings in ISBM and Blowing areas, acting as a key point of contact on the shop floor.

 

Documentation & Reporting

  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of production-related documentation (line logs, quality checks, SAP, etc.) by coaching and supporting Team Leaders.
  • Participate in month-end activities, including SAP interactions, stock reconciliations, and BRMs.
  • Support the planning of Preventive Maintenance (PM) and project activities.

 

Who We Are Looking For

Background and Experience

  • Excellent understanding and delivery of Health & Safety in a Production Environment
  • Good customer relationship skills to ensure future good faith relationships.
  • Experience within the plastics industry or FMCG environment
  • Proven ability to take responsibility and drive results.
  • Experience of delivering Lean Principles

 

Interpersonal Skills

  • Self-driven team player with an enthusiastic and proactive approach.
  • An effective communicator who can become a trusted confidante for the workforce.
