Job Summary
As a Packaging Simulation Engineer (Junior position), you will support support the development, validation and optimization of plastic packaging solutions through engineering simulation, structural analysis and virtual validation activities. The position is primarily responsible for CAE simulation modelling, execution, analysis and reporting, while also supporting CAD activities including 2D/3D modelling and technical drawings. This role contributes to package optimization, technical validation and continuous improvement initiatives across Packaging Development projects.
Perform engineering simulations to evaluate packaging performance
- Create simulation models based on CAD geometries
- Define simulation parameters, materials, and testing conditions
- Analyze results and identify optimization opportunities
- Deliver technical reports and engineering recommendations
- Contribute to improving simulation methodologies and tools
CAD Design & Technical Documentation
- Develop and update 3D models and 2D technical drawings
- Ensure designs meet technical specifications and standards
- Maintain accurate technical documentation
- Implement design updates based on analysis and reviews
- Support design iteration and packaging optimization
Packaging Development Support
- Support product development and validation activities
- Review technical requirements and performance criteria
- Participate in design reviews and problem-solving sessions
- Evaluate design alternatives considering performance and manufacturability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials / Polymer Engineering. Product Development Engineering or equivalent;
- 0–1 year of experience (entry-level)
- Internship or academic experience in: Simulation (CAE / FEA); CAD modelling; Product development
- Knowledge of CAE / FEA simulation principles
- Understanding of mechanics of materials and structural behaviour
- CAD modelling and technical drawing interpretation
- Basic knowledge of plastics materials and manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Fluent in English.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Attention to detail and accountability
