Job Summary
Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit a Raw Material Consultant to support and lead activities across Raw Materials and Legislation. This role combines technical expertise with project management, ensuring the identification, evaluation, and implementation of raw materials that meet business, regulatory, and sustainability requirements.
- Research and evaluate raw materials to identify the best fit for specific packaging and manufacturing requirements.
- Support the selection of materials to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and reliable supply for production.
- Identify and test new materials that can bring innovation or improve performance, sustainability, or cost.
- Maintain accurate technical data for materials in company systems.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues, perform audits, conduct testing, and share best practices.
- Monitor and stay up to date with regulations related to plastic materials, including food contact, environmental, recycling, and REACH requirements.
- Ensure all materials and projects comply with applicable legal and regulatory standards.
- Support operations and project teams with guidance on regulatory compliance when needed.
- Collect and review technical documentation from suppliers to ensure materials meet compliance requirements.
- Define and support testing activities (e.g., migration tests, calculations or simulations) to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials, Chemical, Mechanical or similar).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar function.
- Strong Knowledge in Polymer Science;
- Knowledge in Global Legislation applicable to Plastic Materials and Packaging, for Europe, FDA and Mercosur markets;
- Expert of the Definition and Development of Migration Tests. Application of the “Worst case scenario”;
- Capability to identify, prepare and conduct Technical Training Sessions;
- Good knowledge in Food Safety Area;
- Good knowledge in Office tools (mainly Excel) and SAP System;
- Fluent in Portuguese and English (mandatory), spoken and written.
