Logoplaste is currently seeking to hire a Quality Director, to join the team in Plainfield, IL.

The Quality Director oversees and enhances the quality management processes across our manufacturing operations in the United States. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in quality management within the plastic industry, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Quality Leadership:

• Develop and implement a regional quality strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
• Provide strategic direction to Plant quality teams to ensure the highest quality standards across manufacturing facilities.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with regulatory entities (internal and external) to stay abreast of changes and updates.

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance overall product quality and efficiency using structured methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing)

Team Management:

• Lead and mentor a regional team of quality professionals.
• Support regional Operations and plant leadership in selecting and training Quality managers and other quality resources, providing “dotted-line” management to site-level quality managers.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Supplier and Customer Relations:

• Collaborate with suppliers to enhance the quality of incoming materials.
• Work closely with customers to understand and address their quality expectations and ensure they are properly enforced at the plants.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Utilize data analytics to monitor and analyze quality metrics.
• Generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in a leadership role within quality management, preferably in the plastic manufacturing industry.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing and industrial environments
• In-depth knowledge of quality management systems
• Strong understanding of regional and international quality standards and regulations.
• Knowledge of Food Safety Certification
• Ability to produce presentation and communication materials utilizing typical MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies appreciated.
• Ability to travel within US as required.
