Logoplaste is currently seeking to recruit a Procurement Category Manager (Opex) to integrate the Supply Chain team of Logoplaste.

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain and Procurement Manager, you will be required to work as an integral part of the team.

Job Summary

The Category Manager 'establishes and implements global and regional sourcing strategies for the allocated indirect categories. Generation of synergies and savings using bundling and leveraging. Harmonization of processes, tools and suppliers across the region. Manages complex RFQs by preparation of quote comparison (cost factor analysis, commercial analysis), leads supplier negotiations for commercial and contractual aspects, prepares and executes sourcing committees and aligns joint decisions between all project participants. Knows contract requirements and negotiates contractual clauses and their updates. Manages client relationship with internal stakeholders and local buyers in the plants.

 

Key tasks & Activities

Spend Analysis and Savings and Benefits Tracking:

  • Conducts detailed spend analysis and benchmarking
  • Evaluates spend and market competitive conditions as a basis to identify category sourcing opportunities
  • Builds an accurate spend analysis and benchmarking for category price movements
  • Develops cost savings targets, backed by sound data and realistic targets

 

Sourcing:

  • Works closely with stakeholders to develop and implement effective sourcing initiatives for relevant categories
  • Sources project management (RFI/RFQ/RFP), identifies and invites all potential suppliers to participate in sourcing initiative
  • Manages the negotiation process, content and results
  • Proposes preferred suppliers for the final decision process

 

Manage supplier contracts and agreements:

  • Builds strong rapport with suppliers' senior management
  • Monitors and ensures that supplier agreements are implemented and that suppliers are aligned with the agreed benefits
  • Monitors and reports all savings delivered and realized
  • Establishes cross-functional teams to negotiate and implement improved commercial and operational outcomes

 

Manage assigned Indirect categories

  • The category manager is responsible for managing all sourcing and supplier negotiations within the categories that are assigned to them, e.g.
  • Sources, engages in negotiations, and maintains agreements with suppliers to obtain the best benefits possible for the organization
  • Monitors progress on an on-going basis and analyses pend to ensure that the agreements conditions are being observed     
  • Establishment and implementation of global and regional sourcing strategies for the allocated categories

 

Who we are looking for…

Background and Experience

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Category Manager in Procurement area

 

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • English and Portuguse language proficiency (mandatory)
  • SAP knowledge and digital mindset

 

Interpersonal Skills

  • Effective Negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
