Logoplaste UK, are currently seeking to recruit an Operations Coordinator to support the Operations Team in Dumfries.

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Operations Coordinator will be an integral part of the team and able to demonstrate a good hands-on approach as well as administrative tasks.

 

The role requires working with all teams across site to provide operational support and assist with improving systems and processes within Production, Engineering, Planning and Administration.

 

Key tasks & Activities

Production:

  • Ensuring production logs are accurate and updated, including within SAP
  • Assist production manager with regular review of production data, including performance and KPIs
  • Work closely with teams to ensure management and control of raw material waste and all associated procedures, assisting the site to maintain tight control and achieve KPIs

Planning: 

  • Responsible for liaising with customer regarding weekly delivery schedules
  • Review of customer forecasts and updating of demand planning data
  • Updating of and responding to ad-hoc customer requests for changes to schedules
  • Working with Production Manager to plan manning to fit with production demands
  • Arranging transport for forecast demand and ad-hoc shipments,

Engineering:

  • Support the Maintenance Manager with purchasing site supplies, engineering items and track spending/budget control
  • Support the Maintenance Manager to engage with suppliers to negotiate best prices and lead times
  • Tracking of orders to ensure they are delivered within original timescales
  • Checking receipt of goods delivered against order
  • Ensuring parts/goods are delivered to correct supplier/partner for repair etc

Administration:

  • Use and maintenance of SAP (creating POs, processing VIMs)
  • Reconcilement of invoice queries
  • Provide cover for the Plant Administrator

 

Who we are looking for..

  • Experience of SAP is beneficial but not essential, training will be given
  • Purchasing experience would be advantageous
  • Stock Planning experience is essential
  • Previous experience within a Production environment would be beneficial
  • MS Office experience is essential (including proficient in Excel)
  • Excellent Customer Service experience and skills
  • Proven background in systems and process improvement activities to improve performance and achieve business KPIs
  • Good communication both verbal and written
