Logoplaste is currently seeking to hire a Maintenance Engineer, to join the plant team in Inwood, WV (USA).

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Engineer maintains and repairs production equipment on site. Is responsible for implementing on-going continuous improvement activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Experience in plastics
  • Plans and carries out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on the site's equipment
  • Carries out routine plant inspection and gathers/logs data for analysis
  • Responds effectively to equipment breakdowns in order to minimize downtime and establish the root cause
  • Is proactive on the correction and modification of re-occurring machine processing faults
  • Attends site and engineering meetings to align the plan of work for the day with the production teams

Health & Safety (when applicable)

  • Plans, implements, and coordinates safety programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions. promoting workplace and equipment safety by identifying and monitoring potential hazards to people or the sites equipment
  • Reports inefficient operations and safety issues to supervisory personnel, so that corrective action can be initiated in accordance with the sites Health and Safety policy Continuous improvements
  • Carries out small engineering projects to improve machine/equipment efficiencies
  • Cooperates closely with other functions on the site, delivering accurate information, to optimise the sites overall performance

SAP

  • Ensures engineering history is accurately recorded
  • Ensures time worked is booked to the maintenance order
  • Ensures parts components are booked to correct SAP maintenance transactions
  • Produces and keeps engineering reports and SAP maintenance records updated

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Automation and Packaging machines in production environment
  • Knowledge of pneumatics; hydraulic and electrical systems; PLC systems
  • Bachelors degree in related field preferred
