Ecoibéria & WorldPET are currently seeking to recruit a Plant Manager reporting to the CEO of Ecoibéria & WorldPET, based at our plant in Ribeirão, Portugal.

The Plant Manager position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production related activities. Ensures the efficient running of the plant and ensures on-time delivery of the products. Prepares, analyses and identifies improvements for the KPIs. Monitors compliance with systems regarding Quality, H&S and Environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Implements the Logoplaste Group's Good Industrial Practices;
  • Ensures the management of its teams (Production, Maintenance, Quality Laboratory), maintaining a good working climate, and collaborates in the eventual resolution of conflicts;
  • Ensures the necessary means to guarantee adequate preventive and corrective maintenance at the level of machines, peripherals, utilities and facilities, in accordance with the defined maintenance, Health & Safety strategies;
  • Promotes and guarantees good relations with the Customer(s) at the Production Center(s) level;
  • Ensures compliance with production volumes and quality based on Customer Production Plans and specifications
  • Ensures the necessary transactions in the Production Center's different management information systems, guaranteeing data reliability;
  • Accompanies the industrial KPIs of the Production Center, acting in case of deviation;
  • Integrates the team that investigates the causes of Customer complaints, defining and implementing the necessary containment measures, corrections and/or corrective actions.

Who we are looking for…

Background and Experience

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial areas preferable);
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar function.
  • Operational Knowledge (Logistics, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Sales, Purchases...)

Technical Skills

  • Fluent in English (Mandatory);
  • Strong excel skills and Management Systems experience will be highly valued;
  • Proficient IT User.

Interpersonal Skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, managers, and subject matter experts;
  • Team player and flexible with a proactive attitude;
  • Organized and Analytical skills;
  • Results oriented with the ability to deliver under pressure and tight deadlines;
  • Strong Leadership skills.
