The Trials Department of the Logoplaste Innovation Lab (iLab) plays a critical role in bringing innovation to life, transforming packaging concepts into validated, industrial-ready solutions. As part of Logoplaste’s R&D ecosystem, the Innovation Lab supports all stages of packaging development - from design and engineering to full industrial implementation. Within this context, the Trials Lab executes and validates experimental and pre-industrial production trials, ensuring that new solutions meet performance, quality, and manufacturability requirements before scaling up to full production.
Job Summary
The Process Specialist (Extrusion Blow Moulding, Injection Moulding, Stretch Blow Moulding) is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering trials for product development, ensuring compliance with deadlines and technical specifications. The role also ensures equipment reliability and proper maintenance, while keeping moulds and parts fully updated and ready for use.
Key tasks & Activities
- Assist in the execution of trials for product development;
- Support the setup and operation of machines for testing new packaging solutions;
- Help adjust process parameters to achieve required product quality (with guidance from senior team members);
- Monitor trials and help record key process data and results;
- Support material preparation and handling (resins, samples, moulds);
- Assist with equipment maintenance and organization of tools and parts;
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality and performance standards are met;
- Participate in projects focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
Who we are looking for…
Background and Experience
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, Mechatronics or Polymers – preferable), or a professional/technical course in Mechatronics
Technical Skills
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (Mandatory);
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and engineering principles;
- Interest in manufacturing processes and polymer technologies;
- Knowledge of quality concepts is a plus;
- Microsoft Office.
